If you make something from powders, it usually means that one or more of your basic ingredients comes to you in drums, or you have a need to fill drums. You are faced with having to address the following issues concerning a drum lift or drum fill system:
To help you with these issues, we custom design a variety of drum handling equipment which include: Drum Lifts, Drum Dump Systems, and Drum Fill Systems.
We are particularly proud of our Post Lift Drum Handling System, which can lift, invert, rotate, and dock a drum into a specific unloading position reliably and accurately. All controls are completely programmable using Allen-Bradley PLC components.
Almost always, the right solution to meeting the drum handling challenges of a project lies in a custom designed piece of equipment, whether it’s a Post Lift, Drum Lift & Inverter, or a Drum Fill Station.
IEDCO is flexible in our attitudes and our designs to help you meet your drum handling challenges. Again, this is where the full service capabilities of IEDCO can be an important part of providing you with the complete response to your needs.
The IEDCO Post Lift Drum Inverter will receive, lift, invert, and swivel a drum in order to dock it to a process for unloading. The unit is designed to be mounted on a level floor or it can be free standing.
The post lift is completely electrically powered and designed to lift, invert, and swivel. The completely electric design makes the machine more reliable, trouble‐free, and smoother operating than either hydraulic or pneumatically powered units. The “lift and seal” drum clamping system is pneumatically powered and designed to create a contained seal during the drum emptying process.
Along with our stationary drum lift and inverter, we can also supply portable models. These units are custom designed to meet your specific requirements including lift height, drum size, and required footprint.
The portable drum lift & inverter can be completely pneumatic, electric, or a combination of both. All controls are integrated into the body of the unit; therefore, only an air and/or electrical source are required.
Designed to discharge drums into smaller containers or low level chute-works, the IEDCO Low Profile Drum Lift & Inverter is a portable and user friendly piece of equipment. The unit can handle up to a 250 pound drum and is manually loaded using an ergonomically designed drum dolly.
The system uses a “lift and seal” drum clamping system which is pneumatically powered. The discharge cone can be fit with a bag liner retention tool and/or a pneumatic vibrator to aid product flow.
Whether you need a continuous liner drum fill system or an accurate drum batch system, IEDCO can design a drum fill system that fulfills the specifications of your project.
Using a variety of drum fill heads, we can custom design a system that can fill virtually any size drum. IEDCO’s drum fill equipment can be stationary or portable.
Specifically designed to break up compacted drummed product that has solidified due to lengthy storage or other reasons, the IEDCO Drum Conditioner uses sequenced impact vibration to bring the powder back to a manageable state.
Unlike similar models that rely on dirty hydraulics, the IEDCO Drum Conditioner is 100% Pneumatic, making it completely safe in virtually any environment…even clean rooms.
Our standard design allows operators to easily load 30 or 55 gallon drums onto it using a regular drum dolley. The system can also be custom designed to handle different size drums and a safety enclosure for operator protection can be provided.
